ELEANOR Warburton starred with a junior gold medal as four members of Droitwich’s Kazoku-Kan Judo Club headed to the Kent international competition.

She faced tough competition including two much larger opponents but soundly beat all put before her.

Molly Charlwood did well in her second international tournament against girls in a higher weight category and her nerveless display secured a silver.

Harry Evans was unlucky not to win a medal but has since been awarded the Spa club’s member of the month trophy for his hard work and determination.

In the senior category head instructor Rob Alloway faced tough opponents in his category to walk away with the silver medal.

Club instructor Rich Morrish said: “Coming to coach these guys in their first international competition was a privilege and an honour.

"Seeing them put into practice what they learn from the club each week makes us incredibly proud.”
