SEVEN swimmers from Bromsgrove SC successfully gained regional qualifying times to enable them to compete in the West Midlands Regional Championships.
Jacob Elliot qualified for four events within the 15-year old-category. He took gold in the 100m breaststroke, improving his sliver from last year, qualified for the final of the 200m breaststroke and came fourth, won the 50m breaststroke and also gained a personal best in 50m freestyle.
Luke Jones qualified for two events within the 11/12-year-old age category. This was also Luke’s first time at the regional championships and competing in a level 1 meet.
He gained a personal best in 100m breaststroke and made it through to the final of the 50m breaststroke where he finished third and smashed his short course best in a long course pool.
Michael Bray qualified for five events in the 13-year-old category; 200m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 400m IM and 100m backstroke.
Cyrus Passman qualified for four events in the 11/12-year-old age category. This was his first time at the regionals and competing in a level 1 meet. He gained a personal best in the 200m freestyle.
