NORTH East Worcestershire Ravens Under-13s headed to Nottingham Outlaws on Sunday to take part in the first Junior Festival for the 2015 season.

Ravens played matches against Nottingham Outlaws and Wolverhampton Wasps.

Despite being low in numbers, with several players not making it up to Nottingham, but in full festival spirit the players joined forces with loaned players to ensure everyone got plenty of game time.

The boys enjoyed every minute of the games and the development over the games was exceptional.

Director of rugby Jason Spafford said: “I was really impressed with the spirit of our players who joined forces with a range of teams, who managed to work well with all of them in a short space of time.

"The development through the morning was amazing and looks good for the rest of the season."

The senior wide, which plays in the Midland Rugby League Premier, endured a frustrating Saturday after their game against Boston Buccaneers was called off.

The away side were unable to get a full squad and they conceded the game.

Ravens go to Telford Raiders on Saturday.
