BROMSGROVE Ladies C edged out Droitwich C 4-2.
With the match finely poised 3-2 in Bromsgrove’s favour there was everything to play for as Anne Simper and Sue Forrest completed their final set in a close battle to give Bromsgrove a 4-2 win.
In Division One, the Ladies A team were edged out 4-2 by Stourbridge A, while it was plain sailing for the Men’s A Team who took on Manor Park B in Division One.
Meanwhile, the club are holding a free tennis day o n Saturday (4pm start).
Coaches and volunteers will be on hand to give advice, run fitness sessions and give provide tips.
Head coach James Griffiths said: “People who came to last year's events had a great time and enjoyed playing, either for the first time or getting back into it after not playing for some years.”
