BARTLEY Green Illey had a week to remember as they lifted clinched two cups inside a week.

They defeated Wilden Village 2-0 to win the Bromsgrove Charity Cup and then saw off Chaddesley Corrbett 4-0 to secure the WFA Minor County Cup.

Against Wilden, Dom Strevens and Jon Myrie scored, while Sunday’s clash was an entertaining affair as they saw off Chaddesley.

Bartley Green opened the scoring in the 41st minute, when he Strevens bagged his 16th goal of the season.

The lead was doubled on the stroke of half time 45 minutes when woeful Chaddesley defending left Dan Lawrence with acres of space inside the area and he slotted home.

Corbett were lucky not to be down to ten men on 47 minutes when Strevens got the better of Matt Danbury, who hauled his man down.

Ryan Moore nearly pulled a goal back for Chaddesley but he was denied by the 'keeper, before a Josh Craddock penalty fired Illey into a 3-0 lead.

Defender Adam Simpson then hit the bar with a header for Corbett, but Strevens completed the scoring.
