FAIRFIELD Villa and Droitwich Spa enjoyed perfect Easter weekends as they picked up maximum points in the Midlands Division Two.

Villa stepped up their push for second as they made it five wins in a row in all competitions.

On Saturday, goals for Jak Allbutt and two for John Pykett saw them defeat Knowle 3-2.

The Recreation Ground side are now sixth in the table, but have three games in hand over second-placed Sutton United and trail by five points.

Villa’s next game is at Studley in the Smedley Crooke Cup (7.45pm ko) tomorrow night.

They then welcome fourth-placed Leicester Road on Saturday (3pm ko).

Meanwhile, Spa moved up tenth with two wins.

James Lemon and Macauley Finch scored as Droitwich defeated Sutton 2-0.

Droitwich followed that result up on Monday by seeing off Knowle 3-1, thanks to strikes by James Ward, Ben Stanway and Lemon. Lemon has now scored 13 goals in as many games, while Ward is Spa’s top scorer with 18 in 29 appearances.

Spa are now set for their highest-ever finish in the league.

They entertain Feckenham at home on Saturday (3pm ko).
