BROMSGROVE Tennis Club’s run of good results in the Winter League continued this week.
The cream of the crop was the men’s E Team comprehensive win at Halesowen in Division Nine.
With the stronger squad members all available they cruised to a 4-0 win without coming close to losing a set.
A game score of 48-10 shows how strong the pairings of Chris Hands with Max Feltham and Dave Jones with Alan Colley were.
Not to be outdone, the ladies G Team won 4-0 against Far Forest in a Division 11 encounter.
Sue Corfield with Chris Mitchell had two long, close three set battles and came through winning on tie breaks in the third set of both: 6-4,4-6,7-6 and 6-4,5-7,7-6. Avril Pugh with Margaret Harris had straightforward wins 6-3,7-5 and 6-1,6-2.
The men’s C edged out Division Six table-toppers Bewdley C on sets won.
