BROMSGROVE Indoor Bowls Club have been chosen to host the Short Mat Players Tour World Cup.
Over 200 players from 14 countries will descend on the town to take part in August next year.
It’s another impressive string to the club’s bow, which celebrated their 20th anniversary earlier in the year.
On Saturday, November 22, they will be staging the the World Fours tournament and 24 hours later the World Pairs.
The English Masters will also be held at Bromsgrove on the weekend of January 31 and February 1, which will see 150 players from 10 countries taking part.
Organisers hope that such events will provide a boost to the local economy.
