College seal North Midlands crown

SOUTH Bromsgrove Sixth Form College were crowned the inaugural North Midlands FE Sevens Series champions despite a win by Hanley Castle Sixth Form College in the final tournament.

Victories in the first two rounds earlier in the season were enough to give South Bromsgrove the title in a successful first season for the colleges competition.

“This has turned out to be a successful first year for this series and it is one that we will be looking to build on next season and on into the future,” said Jon Critchlow, one of the RFU Community Rugby Coaches for Birmingham.

South Bromsgrove finished in third place at Evesham behind Hanley Castle and runners-up Stourbridge College.
