Baxter wants to see a response

HEAD coach Ross Baxter believes Bromsgrove can bounce back from two successive defeats when they take on relegation battling Westoe in the National North Two on Saturday (3pm ko).

The Boars have seen their recent good form de-railed by losses to Preston Grasshoppers and Hull Ionians.

But Baxter feels Saturday’s clash in Tyne and Wear could see them kick on again as all six of the Boars’ final games are winnable.

Westoe are currently third from bottom in the final relegation spot, two places and 18 points behind Bromsgrove, who were without a game over the weekend.

“This is a winnable game but we’ve got to take Westoe seriously,” said Baxter.

“We’ve got to make sure we do things right at set pieces and get our first few phases right.

“If we don’t we’ll get dragged down into a battle, so we don’t have any room for complacency.

“Our last six games of the season are all ones we can win if we play well.”

Bromsgrove will be without the services of Tim Millen, who will miss the rest of the season, after he suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament during the defeat to Preston Grasshoppers nearly a fortnight ago.
