Duo ready to collide in Chaddesley Corbett

WORCESTERSHIRE pair Zoe Hammond and Angela Rucker will be hoping for home success at the Albrighton point to point in Chaddesley Corbett on Saturday.

Abberley-based trainer Hammond and Himbleton stable owner Rucker both have numerous entries for the meeting, which was postponed from February because of an issue with drainage.

Hammond could saddle 10-year-old Honest in the Open Maiden, while the Ruckers’ Tedney Express has just one run when tailed off in a Chepstow Bumper so he is open to improvement.

The Hammonds and Ruckers could clash again the Men’s Open where the former is represented by The Ferbane Man while the latter relies on Ashfields Dream.

Ashfields Dream also holds an engagement in the Ladies Open, but his owner and rider Angela Rucker may prefer to team up with Sagalyrique as they try to make amends for running out at Garthorpe recently.

Enville-based Jane Williams is also keeping in touch with the leaders in the race for the Ladies Championship and will look upon Billyvoddan or Grandturgeon as potential winners.

The action starts at 12.30pm.
