Draper’s cup vow

KEITH Draper has vowed Bromsgrove Sporting won’t hold back when his side tackle Littleton at home in the Smedley Crooke Challenge Trophy on Saturday.

The Rouslers are still smarting from a 3-1 loss at the Victoria Ground to their Midland Combination Premier Division rivals.

With the title out of their grasp, Draper wants his side to kick on and win some silverware.

He said: “We’ll be going all out to beat Littleton.

“We were a bit cautious the last time we played but we won’t do that again.

“The cups are important, we’d love to win one and hopefully we can progress.”

Meanwhile, Draper praised the impact of striker Chris Morrison, who played at centre back in Saturday’s win over Coventry Copsewood.

He added: “Chris was fantastic, he showed great leadership and brought the players together.”

Sporting have signed defender Ryan Gardiner from Pilkington XXX, while Chris Gleadow is available after he served his suspension.
