BROMSGROVE Bears’ brand new women’s team will be looking to keep on progressing after a difficult start to the National League.

They lost to Northampton Titans in the National Cup and suffered league defeats to Nottingham Wildcats and Bristol Storm.

However, the young side picked up many positives as the games progressed and were leading Nottingham up until the second-half of the game. The team is made up of many of the club’s impressive under-16s players who are stepping up to the senior level, including Amelia Parchment, Danielle Caulwell, Catrina Yang and newly-appointed England selected player Rebecca Taylor, 15.

They will entertain Cardiff Celts at home on Saturday (5pm tip-off).

The new under-15s boys National League which went down to a well-drilled Leicester side, with Liam Healey leading the scoring.
