FAIRFIELD Villa enjoyed a bit of goal therapy to get back on track in the Midland Combination Division One as they thrashed bottom side Northfield Town 6-0.
After last week’s 5-0 loss to Hampton, Villa took out their frustration on the division’s whipping boys.
Keiron Evans bagged a brace and Craig Cosgrove, Martin Elliott, Stuart Hall and Pete Jenvey all hit the back of the net.
The win ensures Villa go into two testing fixtures with renewed confidence.
Sixth-placed Fairfield take on Nuneaton Griff away in the Endsleigh Challenge Cup tonight (7.45pm ko).
Griff have only played seven league games because of their involvement in the FA Cup, where they beat Earlswood Town, Sporting Khalsa and Dudley Town before losing to Hednesford in the second qualifying round.
They then entertain second-placed Cadbury Athletic on Saturday (3pm ko).
Meanwhile, Droitwich Spa crashed to a 6-0 defeat against Hampton.
