CALEB Green celebrated a five star show for Catshill Under-14’s by hitting the target five times in their 9-0 win at Redditch United Minor to book their progress in the Central Warwicks League Cup.

Catshill went 3-0 up in the opening 20 minutes and never looked back from that point.

Harrison Lang helped the score along with two more goals with Joe Revill and Bradley Field finding the target as well as Catsill continued their 100 per start to the season.

Tyler Eley proved equally accurate for Catshill’s Under-11 side as they beat Eckington Eagles 13-0 in the Ambassador Evesham League.

Catshill were 10-0 up by half-time and decided to change things around to give Eckington a chance.

That didn’t stop Eley from netting seven times while James Gardner, Jacob Wakeling, Elliott Ward, Danny Shaw, Kai Holbrook and Joe Green added their names to the scoresheet.

Catshill are still looking for new players, especially a goalkeeper. Anyone interested should contact Phil Green on 07934-440249.

In contrast, Catshill Under-10s crashed out of the League Cup after suffering the heartbreak of losing in a penalty shoot-out against Maypole.

Twice Catshill came back to level with Thomas Revill supplying both goals, but extra time failed to separate the sides and Maypole went onto win the shoot-out 2-0.

Bromsgrove Blades Under-12s came from behind to beat Redditch-based rivals Headless Cross 2-1.

Headless Cross had the early advantage and took the lead.

They would have increased their advantage further but Blades’ goalkeeper Jack Stanton kept them at bay with a series of outstanding saves.

Tom Bailey then levelled matters for Blades before Curtis Smith scored the winner with five minutes remaining.

Meadowpark under-10s saw off last season’s league champions Droitwich Spa Vipers 5-0.

In-form Alex Quaynor got four of the goals while man-of-the-match Archie Fulcher was also on target.

Beth Breen hit five as Santiago Colts U14s thumped nine past Kinver Girls. Reah Scott also got a hat-trick in the game while Louise O’Connell was the other scorer.

Jamie Venables hit a hat-trick as Colts Greens U9s beat Sporting FC 6-0. Charlie Williams, Evan Close and Joe Parker rounded off the scoring.
