FAIRFIELD Villa saw the return of two former goal-scoring heroes as they put Coton Green to the sword 6-1 in the Midland Combination Division One.
Villa were boosted as Stuart Hall re-joined the club from Earlsdon and in-form Andy Nicol was back too.
Nicol had been scoring goals for Midland Alliance outfit Alvechurch but was looking to drop down a level because of work commitments.
Bromsgrove Sporting also waived the seven-day rule to allow Jordan Street and Pete Jenvey to sign before Saturday’s clash.
Oakes said: “Bromsgrove Sporting were kind to allow their two players to join before the seven days were up.
“We had a big boost in two strikers returning in Stuart and Andy.
“Andy was a complete surprise, he called to ask can he come to training and then wanted to sign.”
Scott Gaffney bagged a hat-trick against Green, while Nicol, Jenvey and Kieron Evans also struck.
