BROMSGROVE ended their month long wait for a win by beating relegated Whitchurch by eight wickets in the Birmingham and District Division One.
Ashley Newdick and George Rhodes shared seven wickets as the bottom side were kept to 178.
The pair then played a pivotal role with the bat as the Boars made 179-2 in reply.
Captain Mark Evenson said: “That was our first win some time, so it was great to get it.
“Ashley has been really good for us all season with bat and ball and it was great to see George find some form as well.”
Mid-table Bromsgrove are missing several players for Saturday’s game at leaders Wombourne.
Evenson will be at the Warwickshire’s CB40 final working for the Bears, while Alexei Kervezee will be playing in a testimonial for Worcestershire pair Ben Smith and Vikram Solanki.
