A TRIO from Bromsgrove and Redditch AC competed in the Charnwood Stars of the Future competition.
In the under-15s girls category, Ashleigh Bevan finished fifth in the 100 metres in a time of 13.81 seconds.
She then came sixth in the 200m with a time of 28.69 and seventh in the javelin with a throw of 14.54m.
Candy Lockett took on three field events, finishing fourth in the shot put with a throw of 7.73m, third in the discus with a throw of 21.68m and fifth in the hammer with 25.08m, which was seven metres over her previous personal best.
She then went on to gain another PB, this time in the javelin, with a throw of 19.80m to finish fifth.
In the under-20s women category, Izzy Billau won the 100m in 13.03, came second in the triple-jump with a leap of 11.13m and placed third in the javelin with a throw of 31.48m.
