PLAYERS from Bromsgrove Bears Basketball Club were put through their paces by an Olympic hero on Saturday.

Team GB captain Drew Sullivan was on hand at Bromsgrove School to run an exclusive clinic for the Bears and the West Midlands Regional under-17s squad.

Sullivan had played an integral part for the men’s team as they mixed it with the likes of Spain and the USA at the London Games this month.

Coach Dawn Hall said: “It was great to have Drew in Bromsgrove to lend his expertise. He’s an experienced player and as captain of Team GB at the London Games is a bit of a hero.

“He was very impressed by the girls and their skills.”
