NEW Hereford United manager Martin Foyle is happy to bide his time when it comes to bringing players to the club.

Following their relegation from the Football League, the Bulls only have 10 players signed up for the 2012-13 campaign and all of those deals were overseen during Jamie Pitman’s tenure.

With the playing budget reportedly cut to be on a par with the Blue Square Bet Premier average, Foyle has little room for manoeuvre and Hereford are unlikely to operate with more than 18 players next term.

The former York City manager’s phone has been red-hot since he was named as Richard O’Kelly’s successor at the end of last month but he is ready to wait.

He said: “It’s difficult. Finances are going to dictate a lot of the moves so we might be a bit late with our shopping.

“We are trying to get our feet under the table, see the contracts here and how much money we have got to play with.

“You speak to a lot of players at this time of year but there are going to be late deals and trialists in pre-season to look at.

“We will see what’s out there, but there’s plenty of time to move.”

Hereford have agreed to release goalkeeper Adam Bartlett, who had a year to run on his contract, after he said he wished to return north for family reasons.
