BARNT Green got a welcome win in the Birmingham and District Premier yesterday (Saturday) when they beat Himley by 52 runs.

Despite Green slumping from 134 for 3 to 175 all out, it proved enough, aa Himley, were dismissed for 123, in response.

Dan Shilvock scored 50, for Barnt Green.

But Bromsgrove slumped to a disappointing defeat at Walmley.

The home side made 218 for five, in 55 overs and after consecutive wins against Shrewsbury and Kidderminster Victoria, Bromsgrove would have been confident about securing a third consecutive win.

But they were routed for 55 in 16.4 overs.
