IT will be same again for Bromsgrove CC who are expected to field an unchanged side at Walmley on Saturday in the Birmingham and District Premier (noon).
And they will be hoping for another win to make it three in a row after an excellent victory over Kidderminster Victoria at Aston Fields (see inside, page 79).
Kidderminster looked at one stage like they were going to get far more than their nevertheless imposing 263, with opener Matt Pardoe posting 104.
But Bromsgrove chased the total down and eventually won by five wickets with two overs to spare to continue their climb up the table.
Captain Mark Evenson praised his side’s resilience and admitted he was very impressed by the result and performance.
He said: “Things are really looking good right now because this was a great win against Kidderminster.
“They are a team who have been about this league for years and with some very experienced players.
“In comparison we are probably lacking some experience, but that didn’t show out there.
“They were looking at something like 300 I thought early on, which would have been pretty daunting to chase, but even so 263 was a difficult total to get past.
“But thanks to a great start from Ash Newdick and Alexei Kervezee we had a great grounding for our innings and I was delighted to see us come through.
“That will keep the confidence sky high and with a trip to Walmley at the weekend, with them going through a bad patch, there is no reason for us not to take it on from here and go further.”
Nick Husbands, who took four wickets on Saturday, will continue to deputise as captain with Lyndon Jones away and Evenson two weeks away from a likely comeback.
BARNT Green skipper Dougie Brown will be looking for his charges to get back to winning ways this weekend.
But they will face a tough test against Himley, who are emerging as one of the front runners in the Birmingham and District premier title race.
Green could only get a losing draw at Leamington, with Brown being the star man, taking two wickets and scoring 61 as they just fell short of Leamington’s total.
Gavin Shephard and Nathan Newport are expected to be missing again, but Gareth Andrew could be available.
