Ladies celebrate landmark


A DAY of celebration took place at Gaudet Luce Golf Club, Droitwich, when 50 ladies, all past and present members, including eight captains, gathered for a special competition.

It was held to celebrate the ladies’ section’s tenth anniversary.

The lady captain of 2009, Jenny Hartley, presented Beryl Croft with a memento of being the first lady captain.

Theresa Freer, the lady captain in 2000 also received a memento as the longest serving lady member of the club.

Winners of the competition were Linda Richards, Michelle Povey, and Jas O’Hora.

Jenny Hartley congratulated all the winners and thanked everyone for taking part.
