MATT Dinsmore and Matt Dodd are both in the frame to start for Worcester City at Chelmsford.

Dinsmore has only played 30 minutes since the end of January following abdominal surgery, while Dodd has been on the substitutes bench for the last two games.

However, they both made an impact after coming on in the second-half of last Saturday’s 0-0 Blue Square South draw with Dorchester and manager Richard Dryden wants his team to hit the ground running on Saturday (3pm).

Dryden said: “There was no spark in the side against Dorchester but Dinsmore and Dodd gave us that spark.

“I am looking for that from the start and not after 45 minutes, so they have a chance of starting the game.

“Dinsmore is not overly fit but if he can play 45 minutes to an hour that would be great.

“He looks like he’s kept himself sharp and in training he was the best player on the pitch. If he can replicate that until the end of the season, it will be like a brand new signing.”

Worcester have only won once in their last nine matches but victory at Melbourne Park would be their ninth on the road and first away success since February 21.

Dryden added: “It would be great to make it nine. The away form hasn’t been the problem — the majority of clubs would have taken eight away wins at the start of the season.

“We got there quite quickly and were unlucky not to win at Braintree.

“Chelmsford are still looking favourites to be in the play-offs ahead of Maidenhead and it would be nice to put a spanner in the works.

“At the moment, they have dropped a few points and are looking for four more wins to guarantee the play-offs.

“It’s important we are no push-over. We are going to take the game to them. We have nothing to lose.”

Centre-half Tom Kemp is a doubt as he continues to struggle with an ankle and calf problem.
