ASTWOOD Bank embark on a new chapter in the club's history this Saturday when they entertain Harborne in Birmingham League Division Two.

It's the highest level of cricket that Astwood Bank have ever played in following their promotion from Division Three last term.

Unfortunately the Bank will be missing their talismanic skipper Steve Adshead as the former Leicester, Worcester and Gloucestershire player is unavailable for the game.

Experienced Pete Alexander takes charge in Adshead's absent while Paul Daws replaces him behind the stumps.

Adshead said: "Paul usually keeps wicket during our National Knock-Out games and is a very accomplished wicketkeeper who would walk into most first team sides at our level."
