FAIRFIELD Villa's fabulous run of form continued with a sixth straight win after eclipsing Earlswood Town 3-1 in Midland League Two.

Goals fromn Ellis Blakemore, Scott Smith and Rueben Wilson sealed a convincing victory and spokesman Paul Oakes said: "The lads are playing with real confidence at the moment and if things aren't going well, they've got the quality to pull through."

Earlswood threatened to turn matters around on the stroke of half time when they equalised with a spectacular goal.

Oakes added: "It was the first goal we've conceded in four games and was one of the best I've ever seen at Fairfield. It could have knocked us completely out of our stride, but it didn't trouble us."

Fairfield's resurgence will be put to the test this Saturday when they make the short trip to high flying Montpellier who groundshare at Studley's Beehive ground.

Montpellier are boosted by players from Lee Hendrie's academy and Oakes said: "I'm glad we're playing Montpellier now rather than earlier in the season - but at the moment we're only looking upwards."

Villa are set to face Droitwich Spa in the Worcester Junior Cup final. The match will take place at Bewdley Town's ground on May 12.
