FAIRFIELD Villa booked their place in this season' s Worcester Junior Cup Final following a 2-1 win at Upton-on-Severn based Welland.
Second half strikes from Connor Collins and Dan Wilkes sealed Villa's passage through to the final, although the margin of victory could have been wider as Collins also fired wide from the penalty spot.
Villa spokesman Paul Oakes said: "The pitch really cut-up once the game commenced and proved a real leveller.
Gloucestershire League side Welland were really up for the game and fought for everything, but thankfully our quality came through in the end.
"It was quite funny because we laid on a coach on for the players but we didn't know until late as to whether the game would take place.
"We were all there sitting in the clubhouse like expectant fathers, waiting for the call."
Villa still don't know who they'll meet in the final as Feckenham's semi-final clash with Droitwich Spa was called off - but the teams will try again this Saturday.
In the meantime Villa will look to continue their climb up the Midland League Division Two table this weekend when they entertain Northfield Town.
