BROMSGROVE Sporting built on their positive result against Highgate on Monday with another victory against Rocester.

Two quick fire goals from Sean Brain and goals from Wade Malley and Robbie Bunn saw the Rouslers through to their fourth league win of the season writes Ben Fox.

Bromsgrove started brightly with two quick goals in the 10th and 12th minute from Brain.

Aaron Roberts’ cross found Brain at the back post who passed the ball into the net.

Duane Courtney then provided a lofted pass to the back post where Brain pounced for his second.

Bromsgrove had their third on 26 minutes when the tenacious John Pykett battled well to supply the ball to Robbie Bunn, who fired low into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.

A defensive lapse allowed Rocester back into the game just before half time.

Rob Ritchie-Smith’s pass found the unmarked Martin Smythe who made no mistake.

A great curling effort from Smythe into the top corner netted Rocester their second and put Sporting under pressure.

Thankfully for the 715 home supporters Malley stepped up to ease the nerves as he bent a left footed effort into the net to give the Rouslers a 4-2 lead.
