BOWLERS from Droitwich Spa club Vines Park went out to a strong side from Surrey in the Men's National Fours Championships at Leamington Spa.
The team of Terry Duggan, Hugh Lammas, Steve Poyner and young England hopeful Luke Lane, who was skip, represented Worcestershire A.
They started well in the preliminary round contest at Victoria Park and picked up shots on the first two ends.
Then honours were shared between the sides before Surrey C broke away, finding their line and length to eventually come out on top 24-11.
