ALVECHURCH and Hopwood helped themselves to a 32 run triumph over Astwood Bank's third XI in Worcester County League Division Three.
Former Redditch United striker Keith Rostill underlined his prowess with the bat by making top score of 32 as Alvechurch and Hopwood were removed for 148 all out in the 31st over.
Liam Hall hit a further 25 while Edd Rogers rattled off another 20 runs to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
But it was Alvechurch strike bowler Christian Battelley who caused carnage in Astwood Bank's reply by reeling off figures of five for 26 from 10 overs.
Edd Rogers finished with two for nought while Chanderit took two for 29 as Astwood Bank were bowled out for 116 with Paul Boycott the only batsman to make any impression with 23 not out.
