UNLUCKY Alvechurch and Hopwood strike bowler Dan Wolstencroft snapped up a nine wicket haul but still finished up on the losing side.
Despite Wolstencroft's heroics with the ball, Alvechurch and Hopwood failed to put enough runs on the board as they lost out to Herefordshire side Bartestree and Lugwardine by just two runs in Worcester County League Division Three.
In what proved a low scoring contest, Wolstencroft claimed a magnificent nine for 59 off 15.1 overs as Bartestree were bowled out for 115.
But Alvechurch fared no better with the bat in reply as they fell short on 113 all out, Bartestree's Strangsted collected seven for 42.
