BROMSGROVE Sporting boss Paul Smith believes FA Vase opponents Bristol Manor Farm will hold no fears for his side.

The teams clash this Saturday at the Victoria Ground bidding for a place in the quarter finals of this season's competition.

Bristol Manor are sweeping all before them in the Western League having only lost one this season.

But Sporting can point to an unbeaten record themselves this term which they enhanced further this week with a 1-0 win over closest title rivals Leicester Road.

Smith said: "It was the most comprehensive 1-0 win you could ever wish to see. We were head and shoulders better than Leicester Road in all departments.

"Bristol Manor play at a level higher than us, but we won't be fazed by that. We're playing really well at the moment and that has created a great spirit within my squad of players.

"Even those players who are not playing are there supporting the others, which is great to see."

Smith is leaving nothing to chance. He has already had Bristol Manor watched but also plans to see them for himself this week ahead of Saturday's tie.

But Smith also believes Sporting's huge army of supporters can play their part as well.

A total of 875 crammed in to watch last Saturday's victory over Leicester Road and Smith told the Advertiser: "It's an unbelievable amount of supporters for the level of football we're playing in.

"I just hope we're repaying their faith and that we keep moving in the right direction.

"Hopefully they will get behind us on Saturday. Their support can make a big difference."

Smith will try and treat the game like any other and has no special arrangements planned.

He added: " We're taking all the players out for a meal on Thursday evening after training, but apart from that, we're treating it like any other game.

"I don't want to put any extra pressure on my players. They all know the importance of the game, they don't need me to tell them that.

"If we play to our best, I see no reason why we cannot go further in the competition."

Smith should have a full squad to select from with Danny Morris and Keenen Meakin-Richards back in the reckoning after both were unavailable for the Leicester Road contest.
