BROMSGROVE Sporting's hopes of winning the Worcestershire Senior Urn were dashed when they lost 3-0 to Alvechurch last night.
The Rouslers, who play in the Midlands Division One, were no match for their Premier Division derby rivals as Mark Smith, Nick Wright and Jordan Nadat scored at Evesham United's Jubilee Stadium.
Sporting had chances, with Sean Brain, Reece Hewitt and Kyle Turner all going close.
Bromsgrove's plans were disrupted when Sam Wills (calf) and Danny Morris (ankle) picked up injuries before the game and missed out.
Manager Paul Smith said: "It wasn't ideal to lose Danny or Sam before the game because they would have started.

"But the difference was being clinical. Alvechurch made half a dozen good chances and scored three of them.
"But we had chances to score at 1-0 and 2-0 but didn't take them.
"Alvechurch are a very good side who have been together for a long time at Tividale and Alvechurch.
"They give us a good idea of the levels we'll have to reach if we are lucky enough to win promotion."

Sporting go to Racing Club Warwick aiming to maintain top spot in Division One.
Main title rivals Coventry United moved to second with a 5-0 win at Coventry Copsewood and can close the gap to just two points if they beat Stafford Town tonight.
