VBG Fairfield lifted the Worcester Junior Cup after beating Gloster Arms 2-0.

Ryan Molesworth opened the scoring on 33 minutes before Shaun May converted a penalty seven minutes later VBGF held out in the second half to spark jubilant scenes at the final whistle.

Meanwhile, the Bromsgrove and District League Premier Division title race was blown wide open after Alex Mallen’s penalty for Belbroughton Athletic saw them stun unbeaten Thomas Brothers.

Mallen’s goal came after Josh Cowdell was bought down in the box.

Brothers hit the post with minutes to go but they couldn’t find a way past a resilient backline stand-in keeper Chris Innes.

WCT Youth Raiders got the better of Alcester 6-2.

Goals for Bromyard Town’s Richard Smith (2) and Tom Hobbs were supported by Paul Smith, Joe Haines and Richard Tomkins.

Alcester had a bad day at the office but Ellis Kalach usually does decent work and he netted twice in reply..
