NORTH East Worcestershire Ravens suffered a 100-6 defeat at the hands of Sherwood Wolf Hunt A in the Midlands Premier on Saturday.

Ravens, who had played the Mansfield club’s A side last week, made the trip to Nottinghamshire as they bucked the recent trend in the league that has seen teams such as Birmingham Bulldogs pull out.

The league has been rocked after Birmingham Bulldogs have finished in the league for the rest of the season.

Ravens made the longest journey of the season with 13 players and probably the largest team they have ever fielded. The hosts were a different prospect from the team Ravens played last week and took a 32-0 lead by half-time.

The second half started with a Ravens best set of the game which resulted in Liam Dunn powering over the try line off a perfect ball from captain Dave Swaysland, who converted.

But Sherwood rotated their 20-man squad effectively to exhaust the Ravens who found it impossible to stop the Rampaging Wolfhunt team as the tries rained in.

Ravens are at Leamington Royals this Saturday.
