BARNT Green captain Sutton says this weekend's bottom of the table game against fellow strugglers Wolverhampton is a huge clash.

Green are fourth from bottom in the Birmingham League Premier after Saturday's derby defeat to Ombersley and their Black Country rivals are second from bottom after just two wins in eight games.

Green are set to welcome back Sam Cheshire, Tom Banton and Luke Radford, who missed last weekend's clash, while Sutton and Lamb will also be sharper after playing their first games in seven weeks because of injuries.

"There is still a lot of cricket to be played but this is a massive game for us," commented the skipper.

"We have three players coming back into the side and Matt and I will also be better after a game under our belts.

"We have to start winning games and we've got the ability to do so.

"We're not going to win any silverware but we have to win as many matches as we can."

With a host of first team regulars missing, Green were no match for title-chasing Ombersley.

The hosts were put into bat and made a good start when reaching 87-3 before collapsing to 118 all out, with Ombersley's Oliver Uffindall taking 6-34.

Sutton, playing his first game back after recovering from a fractured thumb, made an early breakthrough when he bowled Uffindall for four and then dismissed Liam Gwynne (61) before Uday Kaul and Brett D'Oliveira and guided the away tram to 119-2 in 17 overs.

Sutton said: "It was great to be back after such a long time and luckily there have been no adverse affects.

"Matt Lamb was also back from injury but we were missing quite a few players.

"At one stage were were going quite well but then all of a sudden we were bowled out for 118."
