BROMSGROVE School’s Under-14s netball team are celebrating after being crowned West Midlands’ champions in the regional round of the National Schools Competition.
The team, who were playing in their home arena, swept through the group stages and comprehensively beat Newcastle-under-Lyme School 12-1 in the semi-final and George Salter Academy 9-5 in the final.
The competition is pitched as the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar and run by England Netball.
Emma Buckingham, head of girls’ physical education and games, said: “The Under-14s reigned supreme all afternoon. We now look forward to them representing Bromsgrove School and the West Midlands region with honour and distinction in Liverpool.”
