PARKSIDE Middle School pupil Jacob Clark hit top gear in finishing in third place at the British Junior Championships.
Clark, who is a member of Kent-based FAB Racing, was a model of consistency in the Mini GP 50 category.
He was first overall in round seven and also recorded a host of top-five finishes to secure his lofty position at the end of the eight-race series.
Clark, whose hero is reigning World MotoGP Champion Marc Marquez, had previously finished fifth in last year’s championship.
RAB Racing has seen a number of gifted young riders come through the ranks, including Scott Redding, who became the youngest competitor ever to win a World Championship race.
