HARE and Hounds moved rather ominously into the LMS Shield semi-finals with a 5-2 win over Thomas Brothers in what was a really good game on the 3G surface at Studley.

In-form Michael Skerrett’s brace of goals was backed up by further strikes from team-mates Luke Dugmore, Steven Deeley and the goal of the week from utility player Josh Westwood.

For the Brothers, Richard Tyler and Rob Burkus were on target.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Meadow Park Under-13s have gone into 2015 near the top of their leagues.

The team commenced 2015 joint-second in Division One of the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League and top of the Worcestershire FA County Youth Development League on a Saturday.

They ended 2014 with a 4-0 win over Hampton.

Despite missing Elliot Ward and Pete Efiong, Meadow Park set about their business and produced some excellent passing football which saw the visitors chasing the ball for long periods.

Hampton had defended stoutly before goals for George McNie, Josh Done (2) and Theo Fields.

The team, who had kits sponsored by Bluebird Care in Bromsgrove and The Whiteley Clinic, re-start the season at Droitwich on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Santiago Colts U11s got the better of Alvechurch 6-1, with goals for man of the match Charlie Williams (2), Hary Neal (2), Harrison Bates and Finbarr McAndrew.

The U13s Lions reached the League Shield semi-final by defeating previously unbeaten Sutton Town 1-0. James Hughes scored, while Jack Peplow and Olly Coyle shared man of the match.

The U12s Allstars put on a heroic performance to draw 2-2 with league leaders Solihull Moors, goals came from Thomas Eaton and Ethan Vale.

Beth Breen and Reah Scott scored as Santiago Colts U16s girls lost 4-2 to Kewford.

The U14s Colts went down 2-0 to Harbourne Youth.
