Bromsgrove Sporting 2, Tipton Town 1

TWO goals in the final 20 minutes saw Bromsgrove Sporting come from behind to see off Tipton at the Victoria Ground and book their place in the First Round of the FA Vase.

The Rouslers had been training thanks to Ble Pangne's 31st minute strike but hit back through Chris Conway and Sam Wills to ensure they will tackle Nuneaton Griff at home on Saturday, November 1.

Talk before the match was of the turmoil at Tipton, who had been playing predominantly a youth team for their four previous Midland Football League Premier Division matches and conceded over 20 goals.

But the arrival of Nicky Pugh and ten new players had galvanised the Black Country outfit.

Conway could have scored in the first minute from had a ball squared from last week’s hero, Sean Brain, not been intercepted by the Tipton keeper.

Further chances fell to Brain and Ryan Mahon but neither could test the custodian.

But the visitors opened the scoring against the run of play when Pangne finished off a counter-attack.

The second half started in a similar fashion, with Sporting looking un-composed on the ball and devoid of any creativity.

The catalyst for change was the introduction of Aaron Daniels for Brain, whose ability to hold up the ball turned the game in its head.

The pressure told in the 71st minute, when a beautiful cross from the left flank was headed home by Conway, a man who has a useful habit of being in the right place at the right time. With Sporting in the ascendancy, Bromsgrove sealed victory in the 80th minute.

Conway cut in from the right and was just too quick for the Tipton sriker Pangne who took him down leaving the referee with no option but to point at the spot.

Wills stepped up and confidently hit the ball into the bottom left corner to send the Sporting faithful into raptures.
