BROMSGROVE Blades under-14s kicked-off the 2014-15 season with a 5-4 win over Alvechurch Lions.

A perfectly executed corner from Evan Houghton was met with a fine header from Curtis Smith which was the first of three headed goals for an early season hat-trick.

Nick and Alex Doidge both bagged great finishes to secure victory.

Santiago Colts Girls under-13s got the better of Ulverley Hawks with Elle Bates, Keron Mambonzo, Poppy Ellis, Rebecca Chalinor and Sophie Preston hitting the back of the net.

Beth Breen bagged four goals,while Holly Taylor, Reah Scott and Izzy Millington also scored as Santiago Colts Girls under-16s saw off Kinver Colts 7-3.

Man of the match McKenzie O’Sullivan scored a hat-trick and there were also efforts for Harry Neal (2) and Evan Close as Santiago Colts under-11s thrashed Alvechurch Lions 6-0.

In the Open Cup, Colts under-11s Crusaders saw off Redditch United 4-2,m with goals for Ryan McCarthy, Kyle Hackett and Harry Irvine. Josh Efuna was man of the match.

An injury time winner denied Santiago Colts under-12s Allstars a point as they lost 3-2 to Maypole. Jac Wilson and Cass Clapham hit the back of the net.

In the under-12s Open Cup, Santiago Superstars went down 12-1 to Sheldon Royal Hawks, Goals for Chris Geraghty and George Fowke (2) saw Santiago Colts under-13s defeated Bordesley Rovers Minor 3-0.

Ten man Santiago Colts Knights drew 2-2 with Knowle Juniors.

Both goals came from Liam Lowery.

Jenson Clulee was man of the match as Santiago Colts under-14s lost 2-0 to Kings Heath Warriors.

Jack Zammit, Josh Toogood and Ethan Welch hit the back of the net and Alex Bird was man of the match as Santiago Colts under-15s drew 3-3 with Glades.

Santiago Colts Lickey under-17s lost 7-1 to Millpool in the President’s Cup.

After an even first halfm Lickey crumbled to a heavy defeat, Charley Hood scored and Cameron Barrett was named man of the match.
