Coton Green edge past Villa

FOOTBALL: Fairfield Villa lost a second successive game in the Midlands Football League Division Two when they were edged out 1-0 by Coton Green.

Villa go to Aston on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

There were goals galore for Droitwich Spa, who defeated Earlswood Town 7-4 in extra-time in the President’s Cup.

The teams had been locked at 4-4 when Spa bagged three more goals in time added on. Nicholas Seabourne and James Ward bagged braces, while Andrew Crowther, Lucas Tilsley and Stephen Pitt hit the back of the net.

Droitwich Spa go to Feckenham in the league on Saturday (3pm ko).
