JUDO: Two members of Droitwich Spa Judo Kan produced medal-winning performances at Samura’s Girls Minimon tournament in Kidderminster.

The tournament included individual and team competitions and there was stiff competition from clubs from across the Midlands.

The Minimon also raised funds for charity.

Felicity Warburton made a fine debut with a determined performance and won an impressive bronze in her individual category.

Megan Skillern saw her hard work and dedication pay off as she took silver in her part of the completion in the 55 kilogram weight section.

Later on in the day, the girls joined forces as part of a team event and came joint fifth, taking back bronze.

Senior Coach Thomas Ewins said: “The girls put in spirited performances and showed determination and good sportsmanship in the competition, well done both of you, the club is very proud of you both.”
