DROITWICH Spa FC kick-off the newly-formed Midlands Football League Division Two, an amalgamation of the Midland Alliance and Midland Combination, at home to Sutton United on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Sutton finished third last season and are likely to pose a strong test for Spa who will be missing both of season’s first choice centre halves due to injury, Mike Seeley and Mark Burrows.

Spa also have a doubt over the influential Andy Crowther.

But pre-season has gone well, with Droitwich keeping hold of the majority of the squad to what looks like a strong group of players.

The club will also share the clubhouse with Droitwich Spa Hockey Club at King Georges this season giving them an chance to offer refreshments.

Droitwich also have a new first-team kit sponsor on board, MB Insolvency, whose financial support will be invaluable.
