BROMSGROVE School’s Candy Lockett was in fine form at the Worcester Schools’ County Track and Field Athletics Championships on Saturday.
She took the County Championship title in the intermediate girls’ discus (27.32m), shot (9.89m) and hammer (42.91m) competitions.
Lauren Brown, also from Bromsgrove School, won both the intermediate girls triple jump (9.95m) and 300m hurdles (47.4sec).
Abigail Saker clinched the junior girls1500m race in 4-59.8, closely followed by Livvy Worth (5-00.1) from South Bromsgrove High School who has also been selected for the Mason Trophy.
Meanwhile, Walkwood Middle School student Josh Pearson raced to victory in the 300m, setting a new championship record of 37.9 seconds. Arrow Vale athlete Gareth Richardson stormed home in the junior boys 1500m race.
