BROMSGROVE thumped Droitwich both home and away with easy wins in the Worcestershire Sunday League.
At St Godwalds Park, Spa’s first team struggled for runs as was shot out for just 54, with Matt Banham taking 4-10, as Bromsgrove cantered home by seven wickets.
In the seconds’ clash at St Peter’s Fields, Bromsgrove’s young bowling attack impressed.
Max Smith took 5-13 as the home side struggled to 112-9 off 40 overs, despite skipper Simon Holliday top-scoring with an unbeaten 31.
Bromsgrove blazed to victory in the 18th over, with Alistair Hickman hitting 71 not out.
Droitwich entertain Worcester, while Bromsgrove go to Feckenham in Division One South on Sunday(both 1.30pm starts).
