TOWN MP Sajid Javid recently paid a visit to the Victoria Ground to meet the directors of Bromsgrove Sporting.

While there he was shown around the ground and was given a briefing regarding the improvements in progress thanks to grants received from the FA and Budweiser Futures.

Work on the pitch for next season is underway and that will be followed by improvements to the clubhouse, rainwater harvesting and new floodlights.

Club chairman John Teece said: “I am grateful that Mr Javid was able to spend a fair amount of time with us and we enjoyed telling him about the progress being made by Bromsgrove Sporting.

“I hope he will be able to come and watch us next season.”

In response, Javid said: “I was delighted to visit the Victoria Ground and hear about the plans for the future. I wish them all the best for next season.”
