ADRIAN Mander has warned red-hot Bromsgrove Sporting to beware struggling Studley.
The rampant Rouslers have won nine games in a row in the Midland Combination to make themselves the Premier Division’s most potent side.
But while the Bees come to the Victoria Ground on the back of four draws and one defeat, Mander feels their rivals from Warwickshire will be a big test.
The manager said: “It wasn’t long ago that Studley were chasing us for second spot and had games in hand.
“They’ve had a few too many draws but I know their manager Paul Smith very well and they will want to finish as high as they can.”
Sporting were set to play West Midlands Premier title-chasers Lye Town last night in the Worcestershire Senior Urn, a team they had already knocked the Black Country side out of the FA Vase earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, Mander is hoping the current squad will stay together for next season.
While Sporting look set to finish second in the table behind Brocton, they want to go into the 2014-15 campaign with momentum.
Mander added: “We’ve got a good set up and there are one or two things I want to change next season.”
Saturday’s game against Studley kicks-off at 3.07pm in memory of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
Next Tuesday, Sporting entertain Feckenham in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup.
