GARY Wright was in fine form at the Midlands Open Masters Championships.
The Bromsgrove Swimming Club member won six medals in the 45 to 49 age section.
He took gold in the 100 metre individual medley and silvers in the 100m freestyle, 200m IM, 100m butterfly (PB), 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle.
His success was on the back of winning five gold medals at the Staffordshire Masters Open Meet.
Now he is aiming to win a medal at the Masters Nationals in both the long and short course events.
Wright used to swim at a national junior level for England and Great Britain but had not competed since 1987.
He returned to the pool in 2012 and has not looked back.
His next races are at the Gloucester Masters on Saturday, April 13.
Then he will commence deep training for the British Swimming Long Course Masters in Swansea in June, with the British Short Course Masters in Sheffield in October his priority.
