BROMSGROVE Indoor Bowling Club celebrated their 20th anniversary by taking on England at their Austin Road home last week.

A thrilling four-hour clash concluded with the scores 125-125, with the Bromsgrove team of Tom Farrar, Jean Attwood, Ray Kellard and Angie Farrar taking the highest winning rink prize and defeating England’s Bob Niblock 29-14 to ensure the tie.

On Sunday, the country’s under-16s and 18s players competed in the English Nationals in Bromsgrove.
